Who is Evan?
Evan is an 8 year old boy diagnosed with Mitochondrial Encephalomyopathy and Epilepsy.

What is Mitochondrial Disease?
Mitochondrial diseases result from failures of the mitochondria, which are responsible for creating more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to sustain life. When mitochondria fail, less and less energy is generated within the cell. Many systems in our bodies only work because of mitochondrial energy. Without healthy mitochondria cell injury and even cell death can follow. There is no cure.

How can I help?
Join us at the Fore Evan 2011 Golf Outing and help his family provide for the daily care and medical needs of two children diagnosed with mitochondrial disease.

But, I don't golf!!!
This year Fore Evan is offering a choice for those who would like to give, but can not golf with us:
1.) Sponsor a Hole- only 18 opportunities!
2.) Sponsor a Panel of Fencing
3.) Sport a stylish t-shirt
** And, this year- we are offering an on-line donation option! Please see "How to Donate" **

Why Pay It Forward?
Evan's family was blessed with a home saving kitchen and bath makeover this year. Their community has changed their lives and now they would like to give back!
